Black Sage

Black Sage (Salvia mellifera), native to California, is traditionally associated with energetic protection, grounding, and creating strong energetic boundaries. Its deep, earthy aroma makes it especially suited to rituals focused on protection and releasing unwanted or heavy energy. Use Black Sage when you want to create a sense of safety, grounding, and energetic strength within your space.

How to Use

Light the tip of the Black Sage Stick until it begins to smoulder, then gently blow out the flame. Allow the smoke to move through your space while holding your intention for protection and grounding. You can move around your home in an anti-clockwise direction, focusing on areas where you feel the energy needs to be cleared or protected.

You can also use the smoke around yourself, your meditation space, or sacred objects as part of a personal protection ritual.

Place a ceramic bowl underneath the stick to catch any falling embers. When finished, extinguish it completely by placing it in sand or on a fire-safe, non-flammable surface.

NOTE: Use mindfully, with intention, and always ensure the burning sage is fully extinguished.
